In-House Baseball
 
The NRBC In-House program begins in the middle of May and ends mid to late July. Players may be registered based on age as of May 1, 2012 or grade level as of Jan. 1, 2012. Teams have practice and/or games at least twice a week (T-Ball / Coach Pitch, once per week). Teams occasionally will have practice, games or tournaments on select weekends.

T-Ball
This program is for **Pre-K children. Young ball players and parents alike find T-ball a great experience. The goal of T-ball is to have fun while learning some of the basics of the game. Learning to run, hit and throw while playing in an environment structured to make it possible for each child to experience success, NRBC T-Ball is a great way to play part of the summer. 
Nights: Monday or Tuesday, Sat ++
T-Ball players will receive a baseball hat and t-shirt.

** Pre-K - those beginning Kindergarten or the NR Pre-K program in the fall of 2012.  Must be 4 years old.

Monday or Tuesday Play nights with a few select Saturdays.


Minor League
New Program Requirements.
(All 2nd graders will now play in the Minors Program)
The minor league program is for current 2nd and 3rd graders. This is an individual's first exposure to live pitching by players. While in this program, the player will continue to improve defensive and offensive skills, will learn an understanding of baseball strategy from the perspective of different positions and will receive a better understanding of the game of baseball. We will continue to maintain an emphasis on enjoyment of the game, the level of competitiveness is increased in this league. There will be a championship tournament when the season is finished.

The mound will be moved closer to allow for better pitching.
lay Nights: Tuesday and Thursday
Minors players will receive a baseball hat and t-shirt.

Tuesday and Thursday play nights.



All Programs


All teams are provided with baseball bats and batting helmets. Players may bring their own bat. Players must provide a glove. Baseball cleats are recommended, but not required.

* Please note, these nights are tentative, and the NRBC will do everything possible to try to schedule nights as they are depicted. However, these nights are subject to change.

Coach Pitch
New Program Requirements.
(All 2nd graders will now play in the Minors Program)
This program is for current Kindergarteners and 1st grade students. Coach pitch is a transition from hitting off a tee to hitting a moving pitch. Participation and skill development is promoted over competition. Kids are given the opportunity to try different positions on the field. Players get six pitches to hit the ball regardless of strikes. This program still promotes participation and skill development. Teams will get to play in a season-ending event.

Major League
New Program Requirements.
(All 4th grade students will now play in the Majors Program)
The major league program is for current 4th, 5th and 6th grade students. Player skill levels are more advanced and, while enjoyment is still promoted, the competitive aspect of the sport increases significantly. Some travel will be required.

Play Nights: Monday - Thursday, Monday and Wednesday will be primary play nights.

Major players will receive a baseball hat and t-shirt.


Babe Ruth (WWBL)
The Babe Ruth program is now part of the newly formed Western Wisconsin Baseball Leaugue (WWBL). The league currently consist of teams from Hudson, River Falls, Somerset and New Richmond.  This league gives players an opportunity to experience the excitement and competition of traveling baseball without the added cost and travel. The WWBL will hold a season ending tournament.  This league is for those currently in the 7th and 8th grade.

For the Babe Ruth Programs each player is provided with a baseball hat and jersey.
