Traveling Team Tryouts

• All Day Event  

• Calling all boys in 4th-8th grade!   The quality of baseball in our in-house programs suggests we could support multiple competitive teams at each traveling level.  Please consider joining one of our traveling teams!

  Parents will not pay a tryout fee this year; sign in with your son's name, birthdate, and grade level during one of the following times:

  U10 (4th Graders in 2014-2015 school year):  9-11 am HS Varsity Softball Field

  U11 (5th Graders in 2014-2015 school year): 11-1pm HS Varsity Softball Field

  U12 (6th Graders in 2014-2015 school year):  1-3 pm HS Varsity Softball Field

  U13 AND U14 (7th and 8th Graders in 2014-2015 school year): 3-5 pm Varsity Baseball Field. 

  If you are unable to attend the tryout on 8/24, you are welcome to tryout in the spring.  Time/Date TBD.

  The NRBC pays objective evaluators from the Century College baseball program to study and evaluate fundamental baseball skills. They assign values to team players based on a random tryout number players wear on their shirts.  Current NRBC coaches may be on the field in order to facilitate drills. 

  A copy of the evaluation form was emailed to all members of the NRBC on Friday 8/1/14.

  The top nine players from each age level will be named to the team after this tryout.   Because we value input from our volunteer coaches, the remaining three spots will be filled with a 'coach selection' tryout in the spring.  These spots will be reserved for what coaches assess the needs are for the team based on the current roster (outfielders/pitchers/catchers/infielders/etc.)  Players must be present at the spring tryout to be eligible for a coach selection.  That tryout date will be sent out mid-winter.

  Final note- these times will NOT conflict with the NRYFA Watermelon Scrimmages.
