New Richmond Baseball Club

We are looking forward to seeing many of you at Community Baseball Night this Friday evening, April 26th! Due to construction in the gymnasium at the Centre, we will be in their Westfields Studio room this year. Because this room is smaller, we are making some adjustments to reduce the amount of people in the room at one time. Each level has an assigned timeslot to pick up their items - please see schedule below.  Come and cheer on our Varsity baseball team at 5pm then stop in to pick up your items in your assigned timeframe.

Community Baseball Night Schedule

Friday, April 26th

The Centre, 425 E 5th St, New Richmond, WI 54017

Please enter Westfields Studio through the exterior doors on the North side of The Centre, across the alley from Citizens Field.  We will have signage to direct people. 

• 4:30pm-5:15pm - Machine Pitch
• 5:15pm-6:00pm - Minors
• 6:00pm-6:45pm - Majors and Babe Ruth
• 6:45pm-7:30pm - Travel

We will not hand out shirts/hats for t-ball or coach pitch at Community Baseball Night this year - instead, they will be handed out at the first practice (Monday 5/13 for t-ball and Tuesday 5/14 for coach pitch.) But we would still love to have those levels come out and support our Varsity baseball team at their 5pm game, so please join us there still! We will take a group photo of any kiddos in attendance with the Varsity baseball team following the game.

*For Babe Ruth, Majors and Travel Teams (or if you are in a different level and chose to purchase raffle tickets) - Raffle tickets will be available to pick up Friday evening so please remember to get those as well when you stop at your team's table to collect your shirt. We will have sign-off sheets for parents to sign to confirm their receipt of the raffle tickets. The raffle tickets were paid up-front during registration, so you will just need to check in to collect your envelope of tickets. We are ordering lockboxes to have installed at Hatfield and Star Prairie where parents will be able to turn in the ticket stubs for the drawing - we will share more details when those are installed.

Again due to the smaller room and wanting to get people in and out as quickly as possible, we will not have any of the "extras" this year, like selling apparel or used equipment giveaways.

The weather in Wisconsin can be challenging and unpredictable in the springtime! The New Richmond Baseball Club may decide to cancel a practice or game due to weather conditions. As a youth program, we will will always put the safety of the kids first!

Any cancellations will be posted on the NRBC Facebook page. If you do not have FB, you can still access that information on the Facebook widget on the NRBC home page on our website. This is the fastest and easiest way to reach the large amount of families in our program.
 
Please note that we only post cancellations. NRBC does not post for practices or games to continue as planned. If you do not see a post for a cancellation for your specific league or a post that says ALL of baseball is cancelled, please assume that your team will still practice or play their game as scheduled. PLEASE ALSO NOTE: There are times where we may cancel baseball practice/games for some leagues, but not all. We consider the age level when making cancellation decisions for each league when there is light weather. This consideration is more common for the youngest baseball leagues (T-ball or Coach Pitch) as compared to the older leagues or even the In-House versus Travel Leagues.
 
If there is inclement weather, the NRBC board of directors monitors the weather considering current conditions and predicted radar over time (rain, thunder storms/lightning, tornado watch, etc.). We strive to make decisions and notify families as early as possible. However, there are times when we do hold off as late as possible if there is a chance the weather conditions would improve and the kids could still play ball. We appreciate your understanding as we do the best we can to ensure safety of the kids.
